Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: August 22, 2026

1. About These Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern use of Amal School. Amal School is a free learning platform focused on helping Sudanese children continue their education through online Maths and English lessons, interactive Practice, progress tracking, and teacher support.

By using the platform, you agree to these terms. A parent or caregiver must agree on behalf of a child where local law or the programme requires it. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the platform.

2. The Programme

Amal School may provide:

  • Online Maths and English lessons in Arabic or English
  • Interactive, automatically marked Practice activities
  • Lesson and Practice progress tracking
  • Teacher, volunteer, Zoom, or partner-supported learning
  • Downloadable or printable educational resources

Independent-track students may need to finish a lesson and score at least 75% in its Practice before the next lesson unlocks. Practice can be retried without a lockout. Camp and partner programmes may use a different teacher-led learning flow.

Amal School is a learning service, not a replacement for a child's school, qualified teacher, safeguarding professional, medical care, or emergency support. We do not promise a particular academic result, qualification, or uninterrupted availability.

3. Accounts and Applications

You must provide accurate information and keep account credentials secure. Do not share a password outside the child, their parent or caregiver, and authorised support staff. Tell us promptly if an account may have been accessed without permission.

Submitting a parent, volunteer, or teacher application does not guarantee enrolment, placement, or acceptance. We may contact applicants by WhatsApp or email and may ask for additional information needed to assess eligibility or safeguarding requirements.

4. Acceptable Use

You may use Amal School for personal, classroom, volunteer, and authorised programme learning. You must not:

  • Harass, threaten, exploit, or endanger another person
  • Share unnecessary personal information about a child
  • Access another person's account or data without permission
  • Upload unlawful, harmful, discriminatory, or malicious content
  • Interfere with security, overload the service, scrape data, or use automated attacks
  • Copy, sell, or commercially redistribute platform content without permission
  • Misrepresent your identity, role, qualifications, or relationship to a child

We may remove content or restrict, suspend, or close access when needed to protect users, investigate misuse, meet safeguarding obligations, or enforce these terms. Serious safety concerns may be shared with appropriate partner staff or authorities.

5. Learning Content and Practice

Teachers and authorised staff may create or review lessons and Practice questions. Some draft content may be assisted by AI tools. Educational content, translations, automatic marking, and generated questions can contain mistakes. Teachers should review content before publication, and students should ask a teacher or caregiver when something appears incorrect or unclear.

Practice results are intended to guide learning. They are not official examination results or recognised qualifications unless an authorised programme separately confirms otherwise.

6. Teachers, Volunteers, and Partners

Teachers and volunteers must act professionally, use age-appropriate and culturally respectful material, protect student privacy, and follow Amal School and partner safeguarding procedures. Access to student information is limited to authorised programme purposes. Partner organisations remain responsible for their own staff, local operations, and legal duties.

7. Child Safety

Do not use the platform for emergency or confidential safeguarding reports when immediate help is required. Contact local emergency or safeguarding services and the responsible programme team. You can also notify Amal School at admin@amalschool.org.

Parents and caregivers are responsible for providing appropriate supervision, confirming that the child may participate, and helping the child use shared phones, WhatsApp, Zoom, and online lessons safely.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it. By using Amal School, you acknowledge that information will be handled as described in that policy.

9. Intellectual Property

Amal School and its licensors own the platform, branding, software, and educational materials they create. Students retain ownership of their original work. By submitting work, users allow Amal School to store, display, mark, and share it with authorised teachers and programme staff for educational and safeguarding purposes.

Students, families, teachers, and partner programmes may use and print materials for personal or authorised educational use. Commercial reuse, removal of attribution, or public redistribution requires permission unless the material states a different licence.

10. Availability and Changes

We may update, correct, suspend, or discontinue features and content. Internet access, third-party services, maintenance, and local conditions can affect availability. We will take reasonable care in operating the platform but cannot guarantee that it will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every device.

11. Responsibility and Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility that cannot legally be excluded, including responsibility for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable. Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, Amal School is not responsible for indirect losses, interruptions outside our reasonable control, or decisions made solely from unverified educational content.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the platform and programmes develop. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law; we will seek fresh consent when required.
